Method
Path first, tools second
Our assessment method keeps infrastructure-to-application flow analytics grounded in the hops a real request or batch job takes — so latency and throughput findings stay actionable.
-
Name the flow
We agree on one primary path: user action, API contract, or batch job. Secondary flows wait until the first map is stable.
-
Inventory the hops
From edge entry through network, compute, storage, and application handlers. Missing hops are marked explicitly rather than assumed.
-
Time and capacity windows
We capture wait time and saturation during the hours that matter — peak retail, overnight sync, or partner cutovers — not only quiet midday samples.
-
Assign owners
Each bottleneck gets a responsible team and a practical next measurement or change, written so facilities and developers can both act.
-
Leave a living diagram
Deliverables include an annotated path diagram, timing table, and a short review session. Optional advisory retains the map as releases continue.
